Last updated: August 2026

Not So Basic Media Kft. (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal data you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect across our website — including through forms, analytics, and advertising tools — why we collect it, how we use it, and what rights you have regarding your data, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Hungarian and EU law.

We are the data controller responsible for the personal data collected through this website.

What Information We Collect

We collect personal data in two ways: information you actively give us, and information collected automatically as you browse our website.

Information you provide directly — for example, when you request a free website audit, subscribe to our newsletter, or contact us. This may include:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your company or business name
  • Your website URL
  • Your industry or business niche
  • Any additional information you choose to include in a message to us

Information collected automatically — when you visit our website, we and our third-party tools (described below) may automatically collect technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, referring website, and general behavioral data used for analytics and advertising purposes.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data (such as health information, religious beliefs, or political opinions) through this website.

Why We Collect Your Information

We use the personal data you provide for the following purposes:

  • To carry out and deliver the free website audit you requested
  • To follow up with relevant service offers based on the audit results
  • To send you our newsletter, if you have subscribed, containing web design insights, tips, and occasional offers
  • To respond to your inquiries and communicate with you about our services
  • To understand how visitors use our website, so we can improve it
  • To show you relevant ads on Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram) and to measure the performance of our advertising campaigns

We process your data based on your consent (for newsletters, forms, and advertising/analytics cookies) and, where applicable, our legitimate interest in responding to inquiries and providing the services you have requested.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies in the following categories:

  • Essential cookies — necessary for the website to function properly (e.g. security, load balancing). These do not require consent.
  • Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) — help us understand how visitors interact with our website, in an aggregated and largely anonymized way.
  • Advertising cookies (Meta Pixel) — used to measure the effectiveness of our advertising on Facebook and Instagram, and to show our ads to people who may be interested in our services, including through retargeting. The Meta Pixel may collect data about your visit and share it with Meta Platforms Ireland Limited.

You can control or disable cookies at any time through your browser settings, or through our cookie consent banner where available. Disabling non-essential cookies will not affect your ability to browse the website, but may limit certain personalized features.

How Long We Keep Your Data

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, or until you withdraw your consent — whichever comes first. Newsletter subscribers remain on our mailing list until they unsubscribe. Analytics and advertising data is retained according to the default retention periods of the respective third-party tools (see below), unless we are required to delete it sooner upon your request.

Third-Party Services We Use

To operate our website, communicate with you, and measure our marketing performance, we work with the following third-party service providers, who process data on our behalf or as independent controllers:

  • Mailchimp — used to manage our mailing list and send newsletters and follow-up communications.
  • Google Analytics — used to understand website traffic and visitor behavior.
  • Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram) — used for advertising, retargeting, and campaign measurement on Meta platforms. Data collected via the Meta Pixel is processed by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited and may be transferred to the United States under Meta’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
  • Cloudflare — used as our content delivery and security provider.

Each of these providers has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data. We encourage you to review them: Mailchimp, Google, Meta, Cloudflare.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party for their own independent marketing purposes.

Your Rights Under GDPR

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right to access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Right to rectification — request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Right to erasure — request that we delete your personal data
  • Right to restrict processing — request that we limit how we use your data
  • Right to object — object to processing based on legitimate interest, including for direct marketing or advertising purposes
  • Right to data portability — request your data in a structured, commonly used format
  • Right to withdraw consent — unsubscribe, disable tracking cookies, or withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal
  • Right to lodge a complaint — with your local data protection authority, or with the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH)

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. You can also unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time using the link included in every email we send, or manage cookie preferences through your browser or our cookie banner.

Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, tools, or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. The date at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised.
